    • Cheonan-gun, Cheonan-eup and Hwanseong-myeon are integrated into Cheonan-si under Act No. 1176 (promulgated on Nov. 21, 1962), and Cheonan-gun is renamed as Cheonwon-gun (12 myeons)

    • Bokdahoe-ri of Susin-myeon and Yongdu-ri of Dong-myeon are incorporated into Byeongcheon-myeon under Presidential Decree No. 6542 (promulgated on March 12, 1973)
